"I had a very good experience with my UT IE Mentor Andre Souza of the cognitive psychology department. Interestingly, Andre and I had similar upbringings and our parents and siblings had a great deal in common as well. It was easy for me to relate to the things that he told me. Andre was very encouraging at times when I was feeling overwhelmed with the entire process. It was like having a friend who knew exactly what I was going through. Being able to talk to him and meet with him made graduate school much more tangible for me."
