Law School Mentor Sophia Lecky
Working with the IE Pre-Grad Internship program was a great experience.
I
had the opportunity to mentor a first-generation undergraduate college
student from McCombs Business School. My mentee received the benefit
of
getting first hand knowledge of not only what law school was like but
how
to navigate the application process. She really enjoyed the classes
that
she was able to attend and found the coursework to be very interesting.
As a mentor, it was a nice to share my experiences and be a resource for any questions that my mentee had. I am personally very interested in diversifying the field of law and this program truly reminded me that by purely giving people opportunities and access to information this will help achieve that goal.
